Mureșan seeks PSD support as coalition talks outline ministerial split

Designated prime minister Siegfried Mureșan said he will initially discuss his agenda with supporting parties and later engage members of other parliamentary factions, including a phone call to PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu. He is scheduled to meet the PNL parliamentary group to outline his proposed program and will also hold discussions with USR and UDMR representatives. According to sources, the planned division of ministries assigns six portfolios to PNL, five to USR and four to UDMR, though specific ministerial candidates have not been named.

PSD has publicly stated it will not support a cabinet that does not include it, yet Grindeanu indicated willingness to negotiate if the party's social-democratic platform is reflected in the program. The coalition’s success hinges on securing a parliamentary majority, as none of the three parties can command enough votes alone.
