Pakatan Harapan says it could field candidates in every Melaka seat

During the Kampung Angkat Madani event in Kampung Sungai Putat, Adam Adli Abd Halim, acting PKR chief for Melaka, said Pakatan Harapan is prepared to contest all 28 seats in the forthcoming state election if circumstances require. He emphasized that the coalition has previously fielded full slates and sees no obstacle to doing so again. The remarks were prompted by reports of potential negotiations between PH and Barisan Nasional, which currently controls the state with a two-thirds majority.

Melaka chief minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has suggested that any talks would only begin after the state assembly is dissolved, hinting at an imminent dissolution. Adam Adli added that PH seeks a healthy contest that does not sow division, stressing that elections should not disrupt state harmony. The coalition's readiness signals a possible shift in the electoral dynamics of Melaka.
