President Prabowo swears in 26 new members of Indonesia's Presidential Advisory Council

President Prabowo led the oath-taking of 26 newly appointed members of the Wantimpres, Indonesia’s Presidential Advisory Council, under Decree No. 107/P/2026.

In a formal event marked by the singing of Indonesia Raya, President Prabowo administered the oath of office to 26 individuals appointed to the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) by Decree No. 107/P/2026. The oath emphasized loyalty to the 1945 Constitution and the rule of law. Notable members include women's-rights advocate Sinta Nuriyah, former religious affairs minister and Quranic scholar M. Quraish Shihab, and political commentator Rocky Gerung.

The council’s leadership was assigned to former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno as chairman, with former Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa as vice-chairman, and ex-presidential chief of staff Muhammad Qodari as secretary. Additional members span former ministers, business magnates such as Chairul Tanjung and Dato' Sri Tahir, and senior religious officials like Anwar Iskandar. The newly sworn advisers signed inauguration documents, completing the formation of the advisory body.
