Prosecutor Requests Suspension of Immunity for Three Hungarian MPs in Separate Cases
Hungary's deputy chief prosecutor has asked the parliament to lift immunity for MPs Magyar Péter, Hankó Balázs and Seszták Miklós over distinct alleged offenses.
The deputy head of the prosecutor's office submitted three separate motions to suspend parliamentary immunity. Magyar Péter is accused of theft after allegedly taking a man's phone at a 2024 party and discarding it in the Danube. KDNP MP Seszták Miklós faces a probe for alleged bribe-taking and other crimes tied to the Volánbusz affair. Fidesz minister Hankó Balázs is targeted for alleged misappropriation in the NKA case. The Országgyűlés will decide on each request.
